I had quite the scare earlier this year. I wasn’t able to access anything on my external hard drive.
I had moved twice in one month (long story). When I was stable in one place and was able to get back to work, I connected my laptop and all the goodies that I use for film. My external hard drive was not detected. I am not one to freak out about things, so I assumed that I had connected it wrong. I turned off my computer, unplugged my hard drive, and waited 5 minutes. I then connected everything back together. Well needless to say, I ended up having to pay WAY TO MUCH to have my data retrieved in a clean room.
I FINALLY got it back a couple weeks ago. I have been working on projects ever since. Projects that should have been released months ago. I am so excited and happy that I have my footage back. I only lost one scene. To me, that’s nothing compared to what I could have lost.
